Some files are broken, unreaded or even worse, deleted. Actually, there are many ways to avoid that condition and one of the ways is to unlock the keyboard. Well, there are many unlock keyboard apps for your PC, especially for those of you who use Windows as the operating system. Those apps are useful to protect your data or files from the clumsy touch of your cats or even from infants surround you. Today, I would like to share about 3 Ways to Unlock Your PC Keyboard.

Here are unlock apps for your PC keyboard!

1. Kid-Key-Lock

Kid Key Locker is a software for your PC/Laptop security from clumsy fingers that always try to open the data and files that you have without your authorization. By this software, you can lock down all keyboard keys and mouse click by configuring it. The configuration setting is easy, you only need to checklist which keys that you want to lock an you can unlock it by typing the password that you have set before. You can arrange the password based on your preference. For default password, it uses “kklsetup”, this password will direct you to configuration Windows, and “kklquit” to exit from the program and if you do this, all lock function will be restored to normal (no lock anymore).

But unfortunately, the security of this software is still vulnerable as the steps to stop the program only uses CTRL+ALT+DEL. Those 3 keys combination are still functioning if you press it. This software is only recommended if you still use Windows XP as your PC operating system.

This software is establishe via C++ and it is compile by using Setup.

2. Toddler Keys

Toddler Keys allows the users to temporarily lock the PC keyboard, mouse and power buttons. This software is functioning to prevent the invants from causing damage by accidentally hitting/typing the wrong buttons when playing with your keyboard.

As additional information, instead of simply locking your keyboard, ToddlerKeys actually adds some entertainment value to it – you can load a list of images and sounds, and each time (while locked) a keyboard key is pressed, the program randomly display a sound and/or a full screen image from your collection. To unlock the keyboard and return to normal computer usage, simply type the word QUIT.

3. Keyfreeze

KeyFreeze is a FREE Windows application that blocks your keyboard and mouse without “locking” the screen. So your kids can safely watch a cartoon or have a videochat with their grandparents and bang the keyboard as much as they want. You can block keyboard and Mouse separately or together. After downloading, extract the zip file to your desired location, then double click the Keyfreeze icon to run it. A countdown popup message will appear just above the taskbar.

If you wish to stop the countdown, click the ‘X’ in the top right corner. If the countdown expires, your mouse and keyboard will be locked. To unlock them again, use the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl+Alt+F”.

You can customize settings by selecting ‘Options’. There you can change the lock/unlock keyboard shortcut, disable sounds and popup windows, allow mouse movement, and other settings.
